I've heard wild stories from those that have returned to tell the tale: devil worshippers, rattlesnakes, mountain lions, and the occasional dinosaur lizard are trail threats. I had to finally see it for myself. I conned my Wisconsinite buddy, Rob Stenger, to go on the hike with me by telling him there was a fondue factory at the top of Summit #2 (I lied). The weather was a perfect 72 degrees, with amazingly clear skies. I hauled my 5D Mark III camera with the 70-200mm f/2.8L lens, and began the 2-hour hike.

< Summit #1 achieved. DSLR with 70-200mm f/2.8L hauled.
< Stenger scoffs at Summit #1. He might be part mountain goat.
< When you get close to Summit #2, this view of the skyline suddenly appears. Loved the reveal.

< View of Santa Monica and the ocean. You can even make out Santa Monica Blvd running west, between the red building and tree section.
< Some dude looking over Wilshire area. Probably a devil worshiper.
